Texas Authors Speak was formed on September 30, 2006, when a group of author/speakers got together at Flat Creek Estate vineyard west of Austin for a day of networking and discussion. Joyce Brooks [travel] and Anne Isham [chocolate] urged attendees to work together to make it easier for event organizers to find and schedule a speaker in this large state of ours. The initial two dozen authors agreed to form an organization and launch a website.
A listing on this website does not constitute an endorsement, although we do ask that new members join through a recommendation process. Event organizers should interview the speaker independently and familiarize themselves with the author’s titles. Most of our titles are listed and reviewed on Amazon.com.
